Executive Leadership Series presents Matt Hong (’94), COO, Turner Sports

Join us for this presentation of Poole College’s Executive Leadership Series, when we will be hosting Matt Hong, chief operating officer of Turner Sports, a division of Turner and Time Warner, and an NC State Poole College alumnus (’94).

About this speaker

In his role as chief operating officer, Matt oversees teams responsible for long-term business strategy, rights acquisitions, league partnerships, programming, marketing, revenue & sales inventory planning, and day-to-day operations for the division.

Turner Sports presents premium sporting events including NBA regular season, All-Star and Playoffs coverage, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, MLB regular season and Postseason, the PGA Championship, and ELEAGUE professional eSports across TNT, TBS and truTV.

In addition to his division-wide responsibilities, Hong oversees the management of various sports businesses and properties including Bleacher Report, NBA TV, NBA Digital, NCAA Digital and March Madness Live, and PGA.com and the Sports Emmy Award-winning PGA Championship Live. Hong joined Turner Sports in 2008 after previous positions at Thomson and AOL. He received a JD with honors from Harvard Law School and a BA in economics from NC State University, where he was the university co-valedictorian. He is based in Atlanta where he lives with his wife and two children.

Public Parking is available in the Dan Allen Parking Deck, about one block into campus, on the right, as you enter Dan Allen Drive from Hillsborough Street. Parking stubs are distributed by machine as you enter, and payment is made via credit/debit card as you exit.
