Entrepreneurship Week | Dinners with a Purpose

November 16, 2017 | 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Institute for Nonprofits presents Dinners With Purpose Featuring Nate Myers.

Nate is a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology and Society and a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. He is also the founder of a start up company called the Malkuta Project.

Malkuta comes from the ancient Aramaic language and translates as “empowerment from within.” Malkuta describes the creative spark within all of us, a potential that when cultivated and tapped into can result in extraordinary personal empowerment, as well as widespread social change. Malkuta is the process of utilizing our creative gifts to make the world as we wish to see it – a place where people are no longer marginalized, oppressed, homeless, hungry, or powerless.

Nate’s goal is to create a multimedia workforce development program in which youth from underrepresented areas are linked with creative professionals, taught multimedia production skills and introduced to potential job opportunities. He is also focused on producing content centered around social justice themes.

5:30 – 6:00 pm: Networking
6:00 – 7:00 pm: Program and Dinner
