The NC State Operations & Supply Chain Management Certificate equips professionals with the skills and expertise needed to design and improve the systems that align sources of supply and service fulfillment with customer demand. This program emphasizes the critical flow of goods, information and services across interconnected firms.
This certificate program is best for: early- or mid-career professionals looking to advance in operations or supply chain management roles, or those in related fields seeking to deepen their expertise, or individuals aiming to transition into the high-demand field of supply chain management.

- A Leader in Supply Chain: Connect with faculty and industry leaders through the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) for resources and the latest information on supply chain management topics.
- Practicum Experience: Engage in the Supply Chain Practicum, a research project examining a real-world supply chain management issue within an organization. Projects typically focus on procurement, logistics, materials management, operations or integrated supply chain issues.
- Interdisciplinary Learning: Pursue an interdisciplinary approach, combining insights from operations, engineering and business disciplines, providing a comprehensive view of supply chain management.
Curriculum
To earn the NC State Operations & Supply Chain Management Certificate, students must complete 12 credit hours* as outlined in the Plan Requirements below. Once admitted to the program, students must first complete the MBA 506, 507 and 540 prerequisites before enrolling in any certification course.
*One credit hour represents approximately one hour of direct faculty instruction (delivered in person or online) and at least two hours of additional student work per week.
