Alexander Hamilton Scholars Program

The Alexander Hamilton Scholars Program is a dual degree program at NC State University between the Poole College of Management and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS).  Hamilton Scholars complete a major in accounting, business administration or economics within the Poole College, and they also pursue an additional Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Hamilton Scholars are a select group of highly motivated students.  The purpose of the dual degree program is to produce well rounded business professionals who are knowledgeable about international issues and have skills to function successfully in cross cultural settings.  Hamilton Scholars expand their knowledge in a foreign language and continue their international interests within a study abroad program.  In an ever-increasing global economy and interconnected business world, Hamilton Scholar graduates emerge as highly qualified and competitive individuals.

Hamilton Scholars is primarily an academic program where participants focus on completing all requirements for the two different degrees.  However, the Hamilton Scholars program also provides student activities outside the classroom. Participation in a minimum of three Hamilton Scholars events each fall and spring semester is required.
