Students at NC State who are not pursuing a major at Poole College are welcome to explore opportunities listed below about how to be involved with Poole.

Minors

Poole offers minors in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Entrepreneurship, and Economics.

Take Business Courses

There are a variety of courses in Poole –– including featured courses ACC 230 Individual Income Tax, BUS 225 Personal Finance (Adulting 101), and MIE 201 Introduction to Business Processes.

Study Abroad Opportunities

Take business courses in over 100+ locations around the world. We offer semester, year-long and summer programs.

Business Essentials Certificate

Take only four courses (12 credit hours) during the summer and earn the Business Essentials Certificate to gain marketable business skills, no matter what your career path is.

Student Organizations

The majority of our student organizations at Poole are open to NC State students, including the American Marketing Association, the Investor’s Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Information sessions are held during registration season for students interested in Poole CODA, Poole minors and the Business Essentials Certificate.
