Matt briefly left FanDuel in 2016 and served as the President of Regional Operations and Corporate Development at Cottingham & Butler before returning to FanDuel as CEO in 2017.

Prior to joining FanDuel in 2014, Matt was a Director at Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts and Co and KKR Capstone. He was also responsible for driving operational improvements and turnarounds at KKR’s portfolio companies including Accellent, First Data Corporation, Sealy, and Visant, built KKR’s BDC lending platform ($3 billion in assets), and led KKR’s acquisition of Prisma Capital Partners and Avoca Capital Management. Before joining KKR, Matt was as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he served clients in a broad range of industries from insurance to petroleum.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and economics, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from North Carolina State University. He currently serves on the Poole College of Management Board of Advisers.
