Poole Pride Conference

You’re invited to attend the NC State Poole College of Management’s inaugural Poole Pride Conference sponsored by VF Corporation.
There will be two ways for participants to experience the day:
- The Path to Empowerment includes a combination of self-empowerment workshops and informal meetings for those individuals who identify on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and will serve as a safe place to discuss various “in group” experiences. Topics of discussion in “meet-ups” may include dressing for enby (non-binary) success and current trends in inclusive LGBTQIA policies and practices in the workplace. VF Corporation is the signature sponsor for this tract.
- The Path to Allyship provides attendees who identify as allies and advocates of the community to delve into more information and tips on how to support the LGBTQIA community.

Speakers
Adrienne Michelle, LMFT, is a leading LGBTQ couples and family therapist located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.
She has been an educator for the 10 years at several major universities, and has worked with universities such as Thomas Jefferson University, Duke University, and UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Greensboro, during her time in North Carolina.
She is now in private practice and the cofounder of NC Diversity and Inclusion.
Stan C. Kimer is recognized as an internal/external consultant with unique skills in employee development/career road mapping, and workplace diversity. While at IBM as Director of Global Sales Operations, Stan served as the executive sponsor overseeing career development for IBM’s 3,000 Sales Operations employees.
Now as a consultant, Stan is a certified Out and Equal Workplace Advocates Building Bridges Trainer. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago and BS in Management Science from Georgia Tech.
Joanna Schwartz has been at Georgia College for 14 years and has taught a number of courses here including Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Social Media Marketing, Principles of Marketing, LGBTQ+ Marketing, and Sports Marketing.
Her research is extremely varied and includes diverse topics as issues related to engagement in teaching and learning, sustainability, sports marketing analysis of Title IX, and an examination of market volatility and its relationship to the political environment, and LGBT marketing.
