Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Finance Program: Argentina: Marketing in Buenos Aires Memories from abroad: “My favorite memory is a weekend trip to Bariloche, Argentina. I traveled there with a group of friends I met on my program. We went hiking and explored the area since it was much different from the main city where we were staying. It brought us closer and we made memories to last a lifetime!!”

Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Supply Chain Program: NC State Prague: Classic Summer Lessons from abroad: “Be open-minded! Don’t be afraid to try something new and don’t stress out over the little things. Studying abroad will make you a more independent person and strengthen your communication and problem-solving skills. I have learned to “go with the flow” because sometimes things will not go as planned, but you must learn to adapt and face any challenge thrown your way.”

Class & Major: Senior in Accounting Program: NC State Prague: Prague Connect Memories from abroad: “My favorite memory from studying abroad would have to be “tram-hopping”. Prague’s public transportation system was structured very well and easy to navigate. Once we learned how the system worked, my friends and I would hop on a tram and ride it until we saw something that piqued our interest. We would get off when we saw a pop-up market, town square, or a piece of architecture that caught our eye. As Prague has preserved its old architecture, the intricate details on the buildings often became the reason my friends and I got off. The reliability and accessibility of Prague’s public transportation allowed me and other students to explore the beauty of the city and all it had to offer.”

Class & Major: Junior in Business Administration – Finance Lessons from abroad: “In the United States, we live in a very fast-paced world where we are constantly seeking our next opportunity. During my travels abroad I noticed that other cultures are very focused on the present and enjoying the moment. I hope to use this mentality as a lesson and try to appreciate all of the positives in the moment.“

Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Supply Chain Program: Semester in Madrid, Spain at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas Reasons for study abroad: “Study abroad was always a dream of mine even before I came to NC State. I knew I wanted to go to a Spanish speaking country because I was familiar with the language already and have always loved Spanish culture. To me, studying abroad meant learning a new way of life and opening my eyes to the world around me. I wanted the excitement, curiosity, and adventure that came with moving to a new country, and the perks being a student allowed me to have built-in friends from my program and people to go to for advice on the best way to explore and learn the culture.”
