Alyssa Elliott hails from Long Island, New York but has lived in the Cary/Raleigh area for many years now and loves the area. She attended NC State for her undergraduate degree as part of the First Year College program (now called Exploratory Studies) and changed her major twice before finding her fit in Psychology. She returned to NC State for graduate school to pursue a Master’s degree in Counselor Education: College Counseling and Student Development. She worked as a graduate assistant in University Housing and lived in five different residence halls during that time! She has also worked with Prevention Services as a graduate assistant as part of her internship. It was only fitting that when she graduated with her Master’s in Education, that she continued her journey at NC State but as a full time staff member.

Aside from everything NC State, Alyssa enjoys playing ice hockey, hanging out with her family and friends, watching the Carolina Hurricanes, and spending time with her partner and their two fur babies.
