Allison Lowe Reed
Bio
Allison Lowe-Reed is a former graduate of the Jenkins Master of Economics program and is now transitioning into a full-time lecturer of economics for Poole College. Her research interests include science and innovation policy, applied economics, the role of economics in policy, and economic institutions supporting private firm growth.
Prior to working at NC State, Lowe-Reed served as a lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an adjunct faculty member at Meredith College, and as a financial markets analyst with the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
She has received an Outstanding Teaching Award from Poole College and is a Beta Gamma Sigma faculty inductee for the NC State chapter. Lowe-Reed is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in public policy at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
