Catherine Dufour

Bio

Catherine (Cathy) retired from Penn State University after 35 years, contributing in various roles. Her most recent position was as a project manager, where she supported the backend of the university’s HR and payroll system. She began her career at Penn State in the centralized Career Services as the assistant director for Outreach and Programming, coordinating services such as workshops, seminars and six annual career fairs. She rose to become the associate director for Recruiting and Employer Relations, managing the on-campus interviewing program and employer engagement. Cathy eventually transitioned to the Division of Development and Alumni Relations as the director of Corporate Relations.

Before her tenure at Penn State, Cathy served as the Director of Career Services at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and worked as the Assistant Dean for Career Resources and Residence Life at Siena College in Loudonville, NY.

Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from Penn State and a master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. She completed her doctorate in Higher Education Administration at Penn State in May 2017.

Her personal interests include hiking, quilting, cooking, wine tasting and enjoying time with her husband and two grown daughters.
