Dr.Seo is currently the executive director and the head of Daedeok Innopolis in Innopolis Foundation, the government funded organization specialized in commercializing public R&D results from 5 R&D special zones nationwide including Daedeok Innopolis. He works on fully leveraging innovations that take place in Daedeok Innopolis with over USD 40 million annual budgets. He has also acted the role of establishing global cooperative network with foreign innovative clusters and delivering the successful experience of Daedeok Innopolis to many developing countries. In addition he has participated in many world conferences like Korea-Finland Science Forum, World Technology Association, IASP, ASPA, etc. as a speaker.
Prior to joining INNOPOLIS Foundation in 2005, He had served for 12 years as an investment analyst and a banker of Daehan Investment Trust Company and Hana Investment Securities Company in Korea. Where, he experienced various industries while doing investment activities for from hi-tech start-up to shipbuilding companies.
He received his MBA from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Ph.D. about knowledge management from Chungnam National University in Korea. Three citations were presented to him by Minister of Knowledge Economy in 2010, the Minister of Strategy and Finance in 2012 and by minister of Science and Technology, ICT and future Planning for contributing to helping commercialization of public R&D patents.
