Bio

Lynn Harvey Heth’s  work at Poole is grounded in more than 20 years of leadership experience in research administration, grants management and financial operations across higher education, federal government and nonprofit sectors. Her expertise spans the full lifecycle of pre and post-award grants administration, multi-million-dollar portfolio management, budget development, financial analysis and forecasting, and federal compliance. Prior to joining NC State, Lynn held administrative roles at Duke University and Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine, and served in senior positions with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including roles at OASH, SAMHSA and the Office of Management and Budget/Executive Office of the President.

Outside of Poole College, Lynn enjoys giving back to her community as a volunteer on the Surgical Oncology floor at Duke Raleigh Hospital and as a certified SHIIP counselor, helping Wake County residents navigate their Medicare health coverage options. When she’s not volunteering, she can be found hiking, practicing pilates or dragon boating with her team. She also loves cooking and spending time with her husband, Dan; their college-aged children, Reagan and Mason; and their dog, Caesar.
