Bio
Patrice Fontaine Nealon is a Senior Lecturer of Marketing at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management. She also serves as the Co-Advisor for the American Marketing Association student organization and was past Faculty Director for the Sevilla, Spain study abroad program.
Prior to working at the university, Nealon served as a Professor and Department Chair at Louisburg College. Before entering academics, she worked several years in industry with Consolidated Foods, Xerox, IBM, and McMaster-Carr where she held numerous sales and marketing positions.
Her graduate teaching experience includes Research Methods in Marketing and Marketing Management and Strategy. Her undergraduate teaching experience includes Marketing Research, Digital Marketing Practicum, International Marketing, Principles of Marketing, and Doing Business in Spain. Her classes utilize student experiential learning in which she partners with companies, including start-ups, Fortune 500, profit, and non-profits, for funded & non-funded practicum projects. She has mentored students to earn more than 2100 Google and social media certifications. Nealon has also been a Faculty Mentor for Park Scholars, IPBS German-American program, and University Honors capstone projects.
She is the recipient of several department, college, and university level awards for teaching excellence and is a member of the North Carolina State University Academy of Outstanding Teachers.
