Courses

BUS 370 | Operations and Supply Chain Management
Concepts in planning, controlling, and managing the operations function of manufacturing and service firms. Topics include operations strategy, process choice decisions, forecasting, production planning and control, and trends in operations management. Common tools for informed decision-making in these areas.

BUS 340 | Information Technology
Fundamentals of information systems development and use in organizational setting. Information systems (IS), concepts, hardware, software, telecommunications, database management. IS development, applications and management in telecommunications, database management, various business processes, global issues, security and ethical challenges.

M 380 | Doing Business Globally
This experiential course combines in-class learning with out-of-classroom experiences to learn how business is done from multiple perspectives. *The M 380 course fulfills 3 credits of the interdisciplinary degree requirements for all NC State students. In addition, it counts as an elective for the business administration minor.

This program has no pre-requisites.

Academic Considerations

  • Students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible to apply for a Poole College of Management summer study abroad program.
  • All courses are NC State courses and the grade earned in the course will count toward NC State GPA.
  • Review your degree audit to determine how courses will count for your major or minor. This program is designed for Poole majors and minors but all NC State students are welcome to apply.
