Peer Career Coaching

The Peer Career Coaches (PCCs) are trained undergraduate Poole College of Management students who provide resume and cover letter critiques, answer ePACK questions, provide interview prep, and connect you to resources offered by the Career Center.  Peer Career Coaches receive extensive training to provide you with information that will help you progress on your current career path.  Be sure to also connect with the PCCs on LinkedIn and Instagram.

Drop-In Hours

The Peer Career Coaches hold drop-in hours during the Fall and Spring semesters offered in person in Nelson Hall 2150.

Christina DeBerardino

Associate Director of Undergraduate Career Services

Educational Background: Master’s of Labor Relations and Human Resources, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University.
Work Experience/Professional Accolades: Transitioned into career services and higher education, specifically in the areas of professional and career development, career counseling, and employer relations, after several years working in corporate human resources. Associate Director of Undergraduate Career Services, Assistant Director of Career Development, Course Coordinator and Instructor for M120, Professional Development and Career Planning, and Career Coach at Poole College of Management, NC State University. Adjunct Instructor, Professional Development Seminar III at William Peace University. Human Resources Manager at Jervis B. Webb, Johnson Controls, Omega Solutions and 5 Star Engineering corporations in Michigan. Areas of HR focus included talent acquisition, performance management, salary compensation systems, and training and development.

Julie Cline

Assistant Director of Undergraduate Career Services

Educational Background: Master’s of Higher Education in Student Personnel Administration from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication, Minor in English Literature from Appalachian State University,  Associate of Arts from Guilford Technical Community College.
Work Experience/Professional Accolades: Administrative Assistant with Elon University School of Law Career Development Center, assisting law students and alumni with career development and career program development. Graduate Intern at Elon University, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and Western Carolina assisting with End of Year reporting, Job Application materials, Career Fairs, and Employer Development. She was the Assistant Director of Career Development, Internship Program Manager, Internship Curriculum Development, Employer Outreach, and Professional Development Instructor at William Peace University. She also has a background in Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, and Retail Sales.
Interests: Transfer Students, Mental Health in the Workplace, Gamification of Career Development concepts, Program and Curriculum Development, Career Exploration and Career Resources.

Adriana Batiz Daleccio

Assistant Director of Undergraduate Career Services

Educational Background: Master’s of Education in Higher Education and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Management from University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
Work Experience: Adriana has worked across multiple campus offices dedicated to supporting college student success and now serves in career advising, where she helps students build confidence, articulate their value, and navigate professional growth with clarity and purpose. With a background in teaching career development and transition-to-career courses, she is especially interested in how curriculum can be adapted to meet students’ evolving career needs, and she enjoys collaborating with faculty to integrate career development into academic learning. Her professional experience spans veteran services, first-year student support, academic advising, engineering tutoring, mentorship programs, and student orientations, all of which have shaped her passion for higher education and student professional development. Originally from Puerto Rico, Adriana also values working with minority populations and is committed to helping each student recognize their strengths and potential.

Kelly Hardy

Associate Director of Employer Relations & Operations

Educational Background: Bachelors of Arts in Communications from North Carolina State University. PHR (Professional Human Resources) Certification (HRCI) since 2017.
Work Experience: With over two decades of experience across corporate recruiting, HR, and higher education, Kelly Hardy is passionate about connecting talent with opportunity. An NC State alum, she began her career with a staffing agency that specialized in accounting and finance, before leading campus recruiting efforts for PwC in the southeast region. Kelly later earned her PHR certification and expanded her HR expertise at Johnson Lambert before returning to her roots at NC State’s Poole College of Management.
Throughout her tenure with the Jenkins Master of Accounting (MAC) program, Kelly maintained a consistent 95%+ graduate placement rate, developed the Accounting Internship Program, and built lasting employer partnerships. Today, she serves in the Poole College of Management Career Center as the Associate Director of Employer Relations and Career Operations, overseeing employer engagement, events, marketing, and operations for both undergraduate and graduate business students.

Marie Principe

Administrative Assistant

Educational Background: Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD), International Affairs from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Appalachian State University.
Work Experience: Marie supports the Poole College Career Center through employer engagement, career programming and events that connect students with employers and alumni. She enjoys building relationships and helping students access opportunities that support their academic and professional success. Before joining NC State, Marie spent more than 20 years working across higher education, nonprofit leadership and international development. Her career has focused on building cross-sector partnerships and expanding educational and economic opportunities for underserved communities, working with entrepreneurs and business associations throughout the Middle East. In addition to her role at NC State, Marie is an adjunct instructor at Wake Technical Community College, where she teaches international relations.

Alexis Collinsworth

Employer Relations & Marketing Coordinator

Educational Background: Master of Arts in Film Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Work Experience: Lexi Collinsworth serves as the Employer Relations & Marketing Coordinator at NC State University’s Poole College of Management, where she supports employer engagement, marketing strategy, and event coordination for corporate partners and students. Before joining Poole, she worked at the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Career Center in employer development and data management, strengthening relationships between employers and emerging talent. Her background also includes experience in marketing, operations, and communications through roles with the Cucalorus Film Foundation, EUE/Screen Gems, and GreenlightGO. She is also the founder of The Reel Shot Photography, LLC, a creative business specializing in photography, videography, and media production.

Hillary Anderson

Technology & Data Analytics Manager

Educational Background: Master’s Degree, ISU (2013). Bachelor’s Degree, ISU (2011).
Work Experience: Hillary is a dynamic, results-driven organizational performance leader with a proven track record of optimizing operations, driving strategic compliance, and managing risk across public, private, and higher education sectors. Throughout her career, she has successfully spearheaded complex operational initiatives, from managing personnel risk and leading county-level indigent services to serving as General Manager of Operations for a $2.5 million private enterprise. Her extensive public service includes contributions to state level operations within the Department of Labor, then an 11-year tenure with the premier U.S. federal law enforcement agency prior to joining NC State University. Hillary brings deep expertise in executing business intelligence solutions, metric reporting, data analytics, and federal regulatory compliance. As a dedicated and compassionate professional, Hillary focuses on human centered leadership that empowers individuals and teams. She blends analytical rigor with a collaborative approach to foster supportive work environments and drive long-term organizational success.
Interests: Reading historical biographies, travel, photography, attending family activities, volunteering and supporting in the communities associated with.

Ben Backe

Graduate Assistant

Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Towson University.
Work Experience: Ben got his start in Career Services as an undergraduate in the Towson University Career Center where he worked as a peer career coach and workshop facilitator. After graduating, he went on to teach communications at Towson and served as an academic advisor for both first year students and Communication Studies majors. During a decade of additional experience in communications, data analytics, and coaching in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, Ben continued to seek out opportunities to both teach and learn. This journey led him to NC State where he is currently pursuing a graduate degree in High Ed Administration and is working as a graduate assistant at Poole where he coaches undergraduate students and supports Career Center operations.
Interests: Coaching, student engagement, workshop development, process optimization, and historic arts

Maggie Fontes

Marketing & Events Intern

Educational Background: Senior at North Carolina State University – BA in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration
Work Experience: Maggie got her start in retail as a Sales Associate at Voda Boutique in Raleigh, where she developed an eye for visual merchandising and learned to translate customer engagement trends into real business decisions. Her interest in marketing deepened during her time as an Administrative Assistant for The Fresh Feast Catering Co., where she managed social media strategy, SEO, and A/B testing for the company’s remote operations. This hands-on experience across retail and hospitality marketing led her to a Sales Internship at Johnson Brothers Mutual Distributing, the nation’s third-largest wine and spirits distributor, where she supported sales representatives across on- and off-premise accounts and collaborated with the team to solve industry challenges. Her study abroad experience in Florence, Italy through the Lorenzo de Medici University studying Wine & Business Marketing helped her excel in this position. Maggie is currently pursuing a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Poole College of Management, where she now serves as the Marketing & Events Intern with the Poole College of Management Career Services.
