Student-Led Organizations
Accounting Society
The Accounting Society is a structured network of students, professors, and professionals that allows students to maximize their education by providing opportunities to practice communication and networking skills, and offering advice and guidance relevant to the interviewing process, business etiquette, and resume building.
Alpha Kappa Psi (Business Fraternity)
Alpha Kappa Psi is a co-ed Professional Business Fraternity committed to the professional development of its members by complementing what is learned in the classroom with real-world, practical experiences. Through teamwork, our members gain an understanding of the importance of leadership and responsibility, develop an appreciation of service and utilize critical thinking skills to overcome challenges and celebrate successes. We are Shaping People, Shaping Business.
American Marketing Association Chapter at NC State
The NC State AMA is an internationally recognized chapter of the American Marketing Association and the largest business organization at NC State. Our mission is to empower NC State students to achieve the careers of their dreams through professional development, real-world marketing experience, leadership opportunities, and meaningful connections.
Consult Your Community at NC State
Consult Your Community at NC State (CYC) is a student-run nonprofit that organizes diverse student teams to solve problems for local business owners in the Raleigh area. Our pro-bono consulting practice is predominantly focused on serving under-resourced women- and minority-owned small businesses and nonprofits.
Finance Club
The Finance Club at NC State is a student-led organization whose goal is to promote and stimulate interest in financial services through meetings with leading companies, distribution of financial resources, and our structured alumni mentorship program.

Financial Literacy Club
The Financial Literacy Club aims to increase the financial literacy and financial independence of our members. Topics include economics, investments, credit/loans, wealth management, etc. The club is open to all students, regardless of major.
Institute of Management Accountants
The student version of the professional IMA strives to provide an opportunity for students to learn from managerial accountants and other professionals in corresponding fields. IMA provides a dynamic forum for management accounting and financial professionals to develop and advance their careers through its Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program, cutting-edge professional research and practice development education, networking, and the advocacy of the highest ethical and professional practices.
Internal Audit Student Club
The Internal Audit Student Club (IASC) is open to all accounting and non-accounting students who are interested in learning more about the internal audit, assurance, and advisory professions. Club meetings are led by industry lead professionals with an open Q&A forum, so students can gain useful perspectives on what the professionals do as well as an understanding of the technical aspects of the professional’s career. Additionally, students can engage with the Institution of Internal Auditors organization professionals who share their education and career journeys. Through IASC, students get a broader range of professional networking, industry insights, and career development opportunities.
Information Technology Club (IT Club)
The Mission of the Information Technology Club is to provide students interested in information technology with opportunities to:

The Investor’s Association at NC State
The Investors’ Association at NC State strives to educate its members in the principles of investing. Interested in Investing? Not sure of where to start? No worries! We do not require any prior experience for you to join us – in fact, we gladly welcome NC State Students from all different backgrounds. If The Investors’ Association sounds like something you’re interested in, we encourage you to come to one of our meetings and check us out.
Society for Human Resource Management
NC State SHRM provides NC State students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the effective management of human capital in the field of Human Resource Management and to act as an important vehicle for promotion. We encourage the acquisition, growth and continuation of our respective careers in human resource management through expanded knowledge, respect and mutual support among student chapter members and through our affiliation with SHRM and our sponsoring chapter.
Society for Politics, Economics and the Law
The main focus of SPEL is a speakers series each year that brings in speakers on a variety of topics relating to current events in politics, economics, and law. We generally meet on Monday and Wednesday nights, about 5 times each semester. Members that want to become more involved in the club can join the Executive Board. Open to all members, the Exec. Board is responsible for the logistical aspects of running the club, with additional meetings before each event to makes necessary arrangements and advertise events. Additionally, we end each year with a banquet open to all members. Pizza and Drinks are served at each meeting.

The Student Business Sustainability Association (SBSA) believes that the NC State student body has a tremendous potential in making a difference to our community, society, and world. By offering career-oriented events, our club aims to inspire, enable, and prepare impact-driven leaders to influence organizations toward a more sustainable future while still bringing prosperities to all stakeholders involved. Supply Chain and Operations Club
The Supply Chain club provides students with opportunities to connect with supply chain professionals working in the real world. We have speakers on current supply chain topics, conduct a supply chain-specific career fair, promote membership in the Institute for Supply Management and the Association for Supply Chain Management. Throughout the semester there are 4-5 opportunities to tour local manufacturing and distribution operations to see supply chains in action. There are no fees and anyone can join, regardless of major/concentration.

Asian Business Student Association
The purpose of ABSA is to aim to recruit and help minority students gain professional development, academic/career guidance, have personal growth during their time at NC State and more. This organization is primarily located in the Poole College of Management, but is not exclusive to business majors. Constantly looking for new people for our board.
We aim to have events including resume workshops, mock interviews, recruiter panel events, service events, social events to build and connect networks.
Association of Latino Professionals for America
The Association of Latino Professionals for America is a national organization dedicated to helping young business leaders develop their professional and personal skills. We deeply value traditions, culture, and identity, and would love to have you as part of our familia.
National Association of Black Accountants
Lifting As We Climb is our motto and standard. At NC State we work hard to support and adhere to our motto and standard. The NABA Chapter at NC State University shall unite those through membership; who have similar interests and ideals, committed to academic and future professional excellence, have a sense of professional and civic responsibility, and are concerned with enhancing opportunities for minorities in the accounting and finance professions. The NABA Chapter at NC State works diligently to encourage and cultivate interest among minority youth in the accounting and finance professions through offering scholarships, mentoring, tutoring, leadership opportunities and career assistance.
Queer Business Student Association
The Queer Business Student Association exists as a space for the queer business community at NC State, dedicated to empowering its members and equipping them with meaningful tools, experiences and connections to take into their careers.

Peer Leaders
The mission of the Poole College of Management Peer Leaders shall be to serve as effective mentors to incoming Poole College of Management first-year and transfer students, to foster a sense of community within the college, and to develop leadership skills and networking opportunities among the Peer Leaders.
Peer Career Coaches
The Poole College of Management Peer Career Coaches (PCCs) are a group of students who serve fellow undergraduate Poole students as an extension of the Poole Career Center. This student group receives ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to career readiness. They then hold drop-in hours to answer questions regarding ePACK, interview prep, and provide individual resume and cover letter critiques to their peers. In addition, these students provide workshops, host employers, and assist with larger Poole Career Center events.
Poole Council
Poole Council is a student leadership organization within Poole College and it serves as the liaison between the Poole student body and the Office of Undergraduate Programs. Poole Council’s class representatives are responsible for taking feedback from the student body to ensure that Poole College is representing its students in the best way possible. Poole Council also works directly with the other organizations within the College to ensure we are hosting events beneficial to the undergraduate student body.

Poole Student Advisory Board
The mission of the Poole Student Advisory Board is to help administrators enhance the student experience through immersive real-world opportunities such as more practicums and internships, regular mentoring and other career-preparation initiatives. The board consists of 17 undergraduate students who give feedback on how Poole moves forward with initiatives to remain vibrant and competitive in the changing higher education landscape. Membership on the advisory board provides students with valuable leadership opportunities that could help them as they start their careers.
Poole Student Ambassadors
The members of this organization serve as the face of the Poole College of Management and support the admissions office in respect to recruiting prospective students at a variety of events throughout the year.
Honor and Scholars
Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting Honors Society)
Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor organization for accounting, finance, and information system students. The mission of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage the study and practice of accountancy, finance, business analytics or digital technology; provide opportunities for service, professional development, and interaction among members and financial professionals; and foster lifelong ethical, social, and public responsibilities.
Beta Gamma Sigma (Business Honor Society)
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is an international honor society for college students in business-related disciplines. Invitations to join BGS are extended to sophomores, juniors and seniors with GPAs in the top ten percent of their classes and master’s students in the top twenty percent of their classes. The NC State Chapter seeks to develop and prepare its members for impactful careers in business. Alumni BGS chapters, like the Raleigh/Durham Area Alumni Chapter, help connect students to professional opportunities.
